Wideband O2 question

So I'm about to install a wideband o2 sensor and gauge and I was wondering, should I wire it into my ecu or should I use it as a monitoring device(standalone). Its an AEM UGEO 6 in 0ne. Would it be better to wire it into my ecu so that I can log it with my DSMlink.

Yes, but you will have to wire it into DSMLink. I have mine wired into ECU+ and it works great, just make sure you set the parameters in Link so it can read the voltage.

definitely so you can log it and tune accordingly. Very helpful to be able to look back on your logs and see whet your a\f was @ at a given RPM.

Would wiring it into my rear o2 sensor be a good Idea, then "rename" the index thru dsmlink to read the volatge or should I weld a bung and make it independant? If so, how would I wire that into the dsmlink/ecu?

I replaced my rear o2 sensor and put in the wideband one. Once you do that you'll have to turn off the chech engine light through link for rear o2, you can then wire the wideband up accordingly and then rename it, and tune/log with link.

Yes, you can replace your rear with the wideband, or you can weld a bung it is all your preference.
