It depends, i tune with jackal so i just replaced my stock 02 sensor with my lc1,and wired it to the ecu. So basically my ecu runs off the lc1 and i am running it in the stock location with no problems.

i put mine sensor on my downpipe, but i have tools to weld and cut. its pretty close to to the turbo so i get good reading off it. i didnt tune my car yet, but the wideband tells me im running way to lean. LOL and thats what i got it for.

YOu have to weld in a new bung so you will have 3 o2 sensor bungs total

Correct, except there will be a total of 2 on a 1g ;)

But to the OP. I had a bung welded into my down pipe about 4-5" below the O2 housing. If you're still running the stock ecu you gotta leave the stock narrowband sensor where it is. Some wideband's also have a 0-1v (narrowband) output to keep the stock ecu happy but I elected not to use it and left the stock one in place.

What are you planning tuning with? Logger/AFC, ECM link, Jackal (speed density)?

One more note, make sure the sensor is on the top of the exhaust pipe, or on the side, if the sensor is near the bottom of the pipe water can hit the sensor and cause damage.

Like redrum said, you can use a narrowband output. I have a zeitronix WB and I have the narrowband output going to the PCM and the wideband input going to my rear o2 sensor so i can switch the input with the dsmlink and datalog the wideband signal. With my setup I only have 1 o2 sensor which is nice in my opinion. And keep in mind my setup is not emission legal....
