o.c., California
In california. California requires all pieces on the vehicle be issued a c.a.r.b. sticker. What parts can I put on my car (turbo, exhaust, afc), and wich ones can I just change out before I smog the car? Any info mucho apreciated. :D

This is a pretty broad question.

It depends on where you go to get smogged. Some people are REAL fascists about it, while others just don't care, long as it passes sniffer and computer diagnostics.

Go around to different places and find the most lenient one.

So true :thumbdown

You can do mods, just don't be stupid and get pulled over. I'm willing to bet, if not all, most of the dsm people in cali are running stuff the popo's love to give tickets for.

Cop isn't opening my hood, latch is broken ;)

You CAN get away with it, you just have to be smart about it. Like constantly looking around, have a good radar detector, etc. I drive around town all the time and police never even look twice at me, even when I'm speeding. It also helps to have a stock looking car.

Technically any part that doesnt have a CARB number is illegal, not tires and things like that, so dont be stupid and say something to that affect. If you intake pipe doesnt have a CARB number then they can give you a ticket. The part that is ghey is that in reality it didnt affect your emission at all, oh well, yeah for government.
