Why wont it fit>?

why wont a Fwd Tranny from a first gen fit into my second gen whats the differance and can it be done, i know that the 6 bolt swap is common!

To tell you the truth, I really don't know why, but when I had to replace my trany in my 1g 91 eclipse, I took one out of a 90 eclipse and they were two totally diffrent tranys. They must have just changed for some reason. I don't know, what ever year engine your using you might want to put the same year trany. Hey by the way, do you know if 2g turbos, manifolds, 02 housing, intercoolers, and down piping will fit in a 1g? All the parts are coming off a 4g63 to a 4g63, but they be just like the tranys. Any way if you don't know thats ok, but it would be a great help if you did.

iono, i know the turbo and manifold is different off the 6 bolt but other than that i think its the same, and also i need to find out if any 2g fwd tranny will fit in my 95 tsi front wheel drive car....
