Why not run 43.5 psi on a 1g for better fuel atomization?

I don't know what fuel atomization is but it sure sounds good LOL.

At any rate, if 43.5 psi is good enough for a 2g then why not a 1g as well?

Especially when you have a corrective tool such as an SAFC?

Just curious as to why you wouldn't want to run 43.5 psi by default on a 1g as opposed to 37.5 psi when you have an SAFC.

Thank you

The theory has been brought up in another thread about lower fuel pressure providing for a better idle. So it may not be as simple as that. I put up a thread called "something tio make you think" or at least i think that was the one where this was brought up. It was in the engine management section.

Unless you are psychic, don't try to assume that you know why I am posting numerous questions about seemingly related thoughts and ideas. I am just brainstorming. I am not dead set about anything. In fact, if you looked at one of my more recent threads e.g. 550 vs. 660 (which you replied on as well) you would see this is not the case.

Funds aren't short. I love the money that I have and don't like to waste it. I have been through the ringer in life, and that will forever have an effect that I have on my disposition towards money.

Thank you for the link to the thread, but I have already posted that in the link concerning the 550 vs. 660 injectors.

Please don't be so quick to judge people. I believe in intensive research before doing anything.

Think of it as blowing water out of your lips.. if you keep them tight it will blow a fine mist, if you blow hard and open them up it will all just dump out, hardly "atomizing" at all.. It's in the design, and has been known to work the way it is, if it were that simple of a cheat, it would have been thought of long long ago.. It's not just that more pressure = better atomization...

What is with you being so deadset against upgrading your injectors, finding any possible route to avoid the upgrade process, and starting three threads about how much you don't want to upgrade them? Stop bitching and start saving up the money if the funds are a little short. Then upgrade the injectors. You'll be much happier in the end.

Yup.

Ok, why not turn the fuel pressure up? The base pressure will affect how much the injectors flow.
RC Fuel Injection
that's how it will affect it.

Why not crank 440's up to 43.5psi and have instant 480's (sqrt(43.5/37.5)*440)? Because the fuel pump volume delivery capabilities drop off at higher pressures. If you start to push 20-25psi your static fuel pressure has jumped up to 63.5-68.5, your pump may or may not be able to deliver enough fuel at that point.

Furthermore, the dead times change due to the different pressure acting on the back of the solenoid in the fuel injector, which is not something you can change with an AFC. I think you can change it with the 'link and with an eprom.

All of this information is readily available by using the search function.

Here is my response to all three of your posts about fuel injectors. The only part of any forced induction engine system that I don't skimp on, is fuel. There are a lot of lucky people that get away with XYZ, the chances of you or I being one of them are low. The amount you save for not upgrading, is low. The price you pay if you are not one of the lucky ones, is high. It's much better to have too have the capability to flow too much fuel and never use it, than to have too little fuel and only realize it after you've melted a piston.

True indeed. I just had to be sure that the injectors were required. I don't just go out and buy parts until I can absolutely verify that they are required.
