I recently installed FIC 950's in my car. Before that, I installed Link, but didn't spend an excessive amount of time fine tuning my stock 450's because I knew I would soon be installing the 950's.

Now that I'm getting to the more fine tuning, I was wondering if anyone had any experience with the atomization characteristics of 950's at different fuel pressure levels. Here is my theory:

First, I assume that because the injector spray holes are so small, the flow at any reasonable fuel pressure (even stock) would be turbulent. I read a post relating the injector flow to "spit in your mouth."http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/newbie-forum/277820-why-not-run-43-5-psi-1g-better-fuel-atomization.html I disagree. Assuming the flow through the holes is turbulent and not laminar, raising the fuel pressure would only make the flow more turbulent. When you have turbulent flow, the fluid motion is chaotic (random). This would result in better atomization.

Before I waste my time tuning at a certain pressure, does anyone have any experience with FIC 950's at a higher pressure? I was thinking of starting to tune at a base FP of 48 or 50 psi.
