Why dont we have any meets?

You know, I was wondering how come we never have no meets? I'v seen other regional DSM'rs have tons of meets but NorCal is kind of down?
It doesn't have to be anything big? Lets go to a walmart parking lot and get a round of jamba juice LOL
 
I also agree on having a meet. I guess you got the idea to post this after seeing my thread :thumb: . You beat me to it.
As for ideas, anything right now sounds good. And what ever happend to the Lemans Karting meet?

It would be nice if we can get one of the mods to mass email all the members that have california/norcal in their from and region field. It doesn't seem that a lot of people know we have our own region section. That should show a lot of interest.
 
me setup it up? haha, if you guys want we can do like chavez suggested, eat or drink and kick it, I already met a few of you and it would be nice to kick it more often.

How do you guys feel about going to Denys? Eat, chat, talk about cars, tell stories about how a kid said he put a BOV and gained 50hp haha. If you guys are down, then i'm down too. Weekday? weekend?
 
I'm down for that, all we need is a date, so we can request the day off at work/school. You know, plan it out. I like the email idea, we should try it
 
I'm open to the idea of a meet. I've tried organizing two meets, and they went okay. For both meets I tried e-mailing as many Bay Area guys I could find and would try to remind them every once and a while when it was coming up. In my opinion, I think most guys would like to just go to a "hangout" meet, because people probably don't want to spend the money to do something (i.e. going karting for a meet), or would rather not drive their cars hard to avoid messing anything up (i.e. the agressive group when going on a cruise). That's just me though. I'm just a "regular" tuner with "regular" mods, so if something on my car breaks, it may take a while for it to get fixed, and since my car is my daily driver, I'd rather not take my car to its limits.

Another thing I think why a lot of the Bay Area guys don't meet is because most people probably don't know each other, and they might not feel like going since they don't. I've met a couple of guys in here (from these meets) and everybody seems to be cool at a hangout, there's nobody peeling out at a parking lot or acting like a fool.

I'm free on weekends and after 7pm on weekdays.
 
yeah, we dont need to do anything special. Like greedygst said (luis, correct?) We can all just hang out, this is to help us know each other for future meets. Than after, we can go and get a bite to eat? Or hit up a local strip club LOL j/k
or we can install my boost gauge :D I'm having problems with it.

Well, i'm fine with Hanging out, maybe even hit up a fast food joint. I suggested Denys...I would suggest In&Out but most of the time is full with ricers trying to show off and last thing we need is having a cop breathing down our necks. Unless we go to In&Out on a weekday, ricers only come out on weekends. Lets see everyone else schedule so we can setup it up
 
Yeah, Denys sounds good for being fast food. Like you said Luis we dont want cops bugging us so In&Out might not be good. My schedule for school is:

Monday - Class all day
Tuesday - Class until noon
Wednesday - Class all day
Thursday - Class until noon
Friday - Nothing
Saturday - Nothing
Sunday - Nothing
 
It might be too soon this week but i'm down. I have class till 12:30 this whole week and I have nothing to do this weekend. I'm pretty much open, just let me know when so I can check my schedule. And i'll find out if my cousin can make it too. I need to get him on tuners.
 
It might be too soon, like killa said I dont think people know about this haha. I need a week in advance to hit up the work you know
 
Alright guys, lets do a chill+eat and hang out meet at Dennys in Serramonte on Feb 25th Sunday 7pm. What do you guys say? A whole month notice to request the day off, plenty of time.

What do you guys say? if is koo, i'll make a new thread about it.
 
Why don't we have any meets? because all the bay area dsmers are a bunch of ####ing flakes! All the people that used to organize meets got tired of putting in the time only to have no one show up or cancel at the last minute after a month and a half of them saying they were comming for some bs reason. You won't see me planning anymore meets except for the stinson meet again this summer.
