Why are GSX's so rare in Canada?

I'm wondering why I've never seen a 2nd Gen Eclipse GSX in Canada. Were they not sold here and only imported or am I just not looking hard enough?

If I remember correctly, I belive someone has said that they never made the eclipse in canada. They said that they only made the talon in canada. If someone else wants to chime in on this as I don't know this for a fact.

Would I be able to swap a Eclipse front & rear bumper + headlights + taillights + spoiler? I've done some bodywork before, or am I over my head here?

It's pretty easy to do, the 97 eclipse front bumper and lights is a simple swap, but the rear end needs a new support and the tails need some holes here and there. Do a search.

Someone on here has a 2gb Eclipse with a 4G63 N/T in it from Canada. It's a silver one. Not a useful addition to the conversation but pertinant none the less.

No they didn't sell the 2G Eclipse in Canada, only the talon! Not till 2000 i believe is when Mitsu came to canada and well you could only buy the 3rd Gen.

FINALLY, someone who has it worse then us. the 4g63 2gnt is EDM. Someone probably imported it to canada from europe. Yeah mitsu wasn't in canada till Y2K. They also sold the galant as a 2000 gtx. Some canadaians chime in and clear it up already! Ya./ J/k.

Wow! I would say you haven't been looking hard enough. I personally know two people who have a 2G GSX in the GTA area and others as well. Check out this site: Club DSM Canada. We have a monthly meet at Yordale mall and many other things.

As stated, no Mitsubishi's were sold in Canada until 2000. There are a fair number of Eclipses that have been Imported and doing the Conversion isn't that hard.

Buddy of mine has a 2nd gen GSX, I know of 3 in Nova Scotia
