I couldnt find exactly what I was looking for while searching so I am asking here. Are there any body style differences between the 97, 98 and 99 Eclipse GSX's? If anyone could also link me to a site that showed what was changed in each year of probuction of the eclipse, it would be very helpful. Thanks

***Just realized my grammer mistake in the title, woops.***

The body of 97-99 Elcipses are all the same. (2gb)
Some of the 1999 models had white faced gauges and different rims. That is the only difference that I am aware of. Of course there is the different spoilers on the turbo and nonturbo/spider.

Is there anything specific you are looking for? That may help others in answering your question.

The bodies of the 2Gs are the same, Eclipse or Talon (1Gs were also the same, other than pop-up headlights); plastics and light lenses changed. Side/door/wing/bumpers/tallights changed: Eclipses went from the clown-mouth backup lights next to the license plate to the more sophisticated bumper dimples at the rear; the front bumper went from grinning loon to bluff-nosed tuff-boy. Talons, although starting out flawlessly in '95, went through its short 2G time becoming an increasingly-loud screaming brat begging anyone to take it to the ball, terminating with its abuse of Automotive Growth Hormones finally bringing-on stubby wings projecting from the doors, something on its tail almost as bizarre as the Dodge Daytona Super Birds, and we're not even sure what the hell that break-out on its nose is.
Stripped of all the crap, it takes serious examination to tell one from another, both model and year. I'm not sure you could just by looking at the outside- although those wings were mounted in nice rust-generators (holes).

Those 99 Models with white faced gauges, Weren't even turbo models. They are 99 OZ Special Edition. They have 16" OZ Italy Wheels, Leather interior, White Faced Gauges, Turbo Wing... 420A Motor!

As for the Turbo Models... GST and GSX Differences. GST comes with 16" 5 spoke silver or chrome Wheels. GSX comes with 17" 10spoke Wheels. Other then the AWD status... there is no other differences. Until you get into the Spyders. Spyders only came FWD. Turbo and Non Turbo. And they never had a turbo wing... just a non turbo wing. The non turbos are different from the hard top non turbo's, as they have sohc 4g64 motors instead of the dohc 420A Motor in the hard top non turbo.

Umm..... I'm pretty sure some '99 Turbos have white faced gauges. For example mine does.

Yeap, many (or all? I an unsure) '99 turbo models came with white gauge faces, as well as the '99 OZ's.

There is also one difference about the 99 GSXs (and 98 Talons) having an option of the black dash and interior - you may want to check on that, I'm not 100% sure if it was just for the 99s.
