I replaced a head gasket on my 4g63 a while ago but I got a felpro instead of a better one also didnt go with ARPS but kept the stockers. Well at the track today I believe I added a bit much boost cause after a run at 21 PSI it didnt run well after and I noticed some white smoke betweeen shifts. Im thinking I fried the head gasket.

From what you have told me it almost sounds like you reused the old head bolts which is a nono. Stock head bolts are 1 time use. Also if you plan on running over 15psi, you should, get stock oem head gasket, or metal hg. Hopfully all you did was blow the head gasket. What you will need to do is first do a compression test. After that, if results are bad you should do a leakdown test to verify if it is your rings. then you will pull the head off and get a new head gasket, get some Arp head studs and if there were no other problems just replace it. Please do a comp test and write back I will help you with whatever you need, I have replaced my hg 4 times on my car, and I did the same thing the first time I did my first head gasket job. Just pray your rings are fine:thumb: Hope to hear from you soon. Talk to you later

I have done a comp test and I know the #1 and #2 somewhat fire weak. I know the valves will have to be re sat, Im going to send the head to get ported and flattend and get a 3 angle valve job.

And also for referance, I run a Stock hg with arps on 19psi daily:thumb:
If you are not going to be getting "Both" the head and block re decked(resurfaced) do not get a metal hg. Trust me I know from experiance.:p
