My sister crashed her 98 Spyder's(4g64) front a little while ago. The car was not in good shape and she though they would total it , but the insurance company didn't. They told her the bill was more than $4000 to fix! She is driving the car now and it is like new!
Anyway she hasn't changed her timing belt (or in fact anything else;she is just driving) ever and the car has almost 100 000 miles, so she was thinking is that maybe when the crash happened something happened with the timing belt and they had to change it, therefore costing the ins. company the money.
Do you guys think a hard crash can make a timing belt rip or skip and killing the engine?
How about the water pump?
If not possible then she is in danger of losing the car any moment now!
I have been telling her to do the timing belt job anyway, but she is like: :I am busy, cant do it right now"
So whatcha think?
