Price = :thumbdown

I like them, but i think $90 is far too expensive for a little sheet of brushed aluminum, especially if it just stick on with double sided tape. Make them a full replacement for the stock peices. Then you will be golden.

If they say Eclipse or Turbo, i'm interested... if they say "spyder" i'm sold!!!
also, if you can make them out of carbon fiber i guaratee you would get alot of buisiness, even just plain carbon fiber sheets to lay there, i'd buy them in an instant.. or gunmetal steel in color i'm sold... great idea i hate the factory sills, they look like sh!t...

I agree that $90 is to much. The one price that really gets me mad is the metal spark plug covers that people sell. $75 freakin dollars for that crap. They look nice but that's just crazy

"SPYDER" in the official font woud be something I would buy. I think someone mentioned it earlier.

E C L I P S E also, like the same font seen on the rear tail light would be another one I could suggest.

Cool idea.

Man I would love something like that.....I remeber the first time I saw a 3gen and it said eclipse on the door sill. I would buy one if it was a complete replacement for $90 but if it were just a stick on the price needs to be lower (at least half and even that is a stretch).

As for what it should say, I have a talon so i would love it to say talon (in the same font as it on the back of the car) with no logos (I don;t like the eagle logo). But I assume those with eclipses would like it to say eclipse.....and i think it has already been established that people with spyders would like it to read "spyder" in the offical font.

I'd buy it if it in fact is designed excatly like the stock piece. The stock ones looks like shyt but flows and keeps my carpet down. A simple peice of metal is pointless, and will look horrible. If it's a excact replacement 90 bucks is resonable becasue forming the metal into the shape of the stock design is'nt easy.

instead of a Etch - ya should laser cut then and back it up with some indiglo, or EL sheet - same price , then they would sell :thumb:

would these actually replace the stock door sills? or just go over them? Thanks
Andy

Why not just have it lay over the stock plastic piece. Then it has a border that would match the rest of the interior. Plus you can remove the whole thing if you need to. Just adhere it to the plastic instead of the door jam metal.

I have always wanted door jam plates... I would have to see it installed before I bought it thou. Its something the 2gs need. Its not ricey... its classy. ( lexus, bmw, ferrair, you name it... they usually have plates in the door jams. )

I'll buy a set if the price drops. We have 2 doors not 4 so I'm thinking $45-65 is all I would pay.

The lowest I can make them is $55.

I can make them say anything you want. Let me know what else.

Thanks for the help. :thumb:

if they were complete factory replacements and not "stick ons" then yeah i'd probably spring for a set, assuming they functioned as well as the factory sills do at keeping the carpet and whatnot tacked in place. However, if they were just overlays then I wouldn't go for it...it's almost 10 years old the last thing in the world it needs is another trim piece that wants to come loose

for stick on i could make the same thing at a highschool (where im from)

full replacement is worth it. but i hate anything thats called "overlay" minus gauges. :) but even those overlays you can just remove the stock face and put them in there and then they are replacement.

overlays = carbon fiber stickers on a stock hood
