Thanks man. It's close to a daily driver, been in one show so far.

I noticed a good gain from my MDS wires, but I added the coil pack, and NGK iridium plugs. Nothing that huge, but throttle response was better.

Mattitude, lookin really good. Clean as a whistle!

cool ive got the iridium plugs as well, my next mod is going to be the mds coil pack, and thats where i feel a gain as well with the throttle responce, but myabe my excitement from moding my car added a little to my feelings of gain hehe :D

Never got a chance to clean her up- show status... she kept blowing oil everywhere :thumbdown

The pipes were going to be powdercoated black chrome, along w/ the BOV... but it blew before I could

Geez, how do you keep them so clean anyway (Mattitude, etc.)? I've hosed mine off with gunk engine brite like 3 times but it still looks the same.

It's all in the prep-work. I used aircraft remover, degreaser, and scraped it for hours. Then sanded, and sanded, and sanded some more. Also used steel wool, more degreaser, whatever it takes to make it clean and smooth. Then find the article on here on how to paint the valve cover.

hey how hard is it to take off your Valve cover? is it just the 4 screws for the coil pack, the plug wires, and the 6 screws or whatever that go around the valve cover?

thats all there is to taking it off, but putting it back on is tricky. Because of the alluminum head its VERY EASY to strip the bolt. Make sure you don't torque them down a ton. I don't have my chiltons with me (its in the garage), but make sure you don't strip them.

Pay attention to your bay 1-2 times a month and it'll never really be dirty. I won a best engine bay trophy at a show with over 100 entries and get compliments on it a lot. If you leave something dirty for a while though, or allow dust/road film to accumulate, it's gonna be harder to keep it up.

found a pic of my car at NOPI. I half assed it here too, b/c I got judged as soon as I set up the display. My car was dirty, so I just did a once over to look somewhat presentable.

I just finished my new intake. I ran the piping out the headlight. I don't have the headlight finished, but I should have it done next weekend.
