I don't mean between a ball style injector and a pintle style injectors because I think we all would agree that ball style are better injectors. I'm going to bump up from 550s and run 650 or 750s. Now for my question, basically, what I'm asking is that am I going to notice any type of difference whether it be a PTE, a Delphi, an RC, or an FIC injector?

Or if I picked up a set of Denso 660s, would I even notice a difference staying with the pintle style over a ball style injector? Or is it worthwhile for me to switch? I'm over-running the 550s so I need to go bigger and I'm just trying to see the best route possible.

Kinda like asking what the best 400HP turbo is, you'll get 100 different replies no two being the same ;)

Speaking from my own experience, I love the Denso 660s. They flow 710cc/min @42psi (as tested by FIC and calibrated on my Stg3 EPROM) and run only 80% DCs on my ~365WHP tune (22psi on Pump) :dsm:

Awesome, definitely the answer I was looking for.

Would you say there is any type of "gain" going from pintle style to ball style? Or is the difference to small to ever notice?

Densos are pintle-style. Really does not matter much which style of injector you uses if you have the calibrations (Deadtime, Flow) at the ECU done correctly :dsm:

RC has been know to have the poorest quality injectors on the market. Check the NABR tech archives.

I'd stick with FIC or PTE imho.

I swapped my 680 back to stock 450s and performance was about the same, but 680 support more hp, so I can't knock the PTE 680s, except they don't really flow 680s more like 650s or smaller.

I have the FIC 750's & can't say anything bad about them, they seem to work great. I have always heard great things about the Denso's as well :thumb: I went FIC just because they were easy to get (everyone sells them). Where does everyone get their Denso injectors from anyways?

I can't complain about my PTE 680's, served me well so far. I do hear great things about Denso, and some people I have heard put everything as sh*t compared to them. I can't agree, if it gets the job done, why waste extra money.

Yeah, I think I'm going with a set of the Denso 660s, if the guy still has them. Like said before, it's all a matter of preference. I'm sure I would see no different running Delphi injectors then I would a set of Denso or FICs. Thanks for the help guys.

Does anyone know how to read the serial numbers on the Denso injectors? I got a set of "660's" from a local guy for REAL CHEAP but I just want to make sure that they actually are 660's before I buy DSMLink.

ALL Denso injectors are stamped with the cc rating on the top near the fuel entry.

I just took a set of Denso 660cc injectors out of my car I had the base fuel pressure turned up to 45psi and they were holding up to 35psi on a to4e 50 trim with fp2x cams, Magnus intake, full race manifold, head port work. By best judgement it was making close to 500whp because it trapped over 100mh in the 1/8.

So I cannot say anything bad about the Denso 660cc's. I swapped to a set of PTE 1000cc's because it now has a sc61 on it so I needed some more fuel.

The 660's I was asking about a few posts up turned out to be 720's and when I had them cleaned and flowed they were all right around 800-810cc and did very well on my old 60-1 with ~60% idc on a 22 psi 91 oct tune.

I now have PTE 880's and I can't complain one bit.

Congrats! Don't tell the guy you got them from :shhh: He'll ask for more $$

It's always nice to hear a success story rather than "bought 660's, ended up being 550's"
