Have a 92 talon tsi with 190 fp, 550 injectors, and small 16g. when i drive it on the highway it randomly goes lean for a second and has a quick like stutter. it happens pretty often unless your giving it a little bit of gas. what could be causing this? couldnt be boost leak becuase im not building any boost. any ideas?

and still does it when im giving it a bit of gas just not as often this happens probally like 2 times a minute or so

I had the same problem. It would just go lean cruising down the highway, unless I got off the throttle or accelerated. Turned out to be my factory fuel line from the tank to the fuel filter was either partially clogged or started to corrode from the inside. I replaced it with braided line from the tank to the fuel filter. Took me forever to track down the problem. Good luck.

thanks man! i would have never guessed to check that! im in the processes of puttin in different cams so while im workin on it and is my friends shop might as well check that out

any body else have any other ideas?

thanks again ill look at that tomorrow i heard about the spark plugs, and was gonna check it out tomorrow. but they look brand new. But they said i need nkg's. so i will see what they have in it tomorrow

You aren't simulating your front o2 are you? I had a similar problem when I was simulating my front o2 off my Wideband. After talking with a local dsm guru I was convinced to put the front o2 back in and get the wideband bung welded in, the problem disappeared after that. Probably not your case but figured I would share my experience on the off chance. Good luck!

i have a wideband but it isnt installed yet. im pretty sure it still has the stock 02 sensor by the exhaust manifold. i have a 2g maf would that be causing anything?
