every night for the past week or so since i bought my 95 2G GST the car alarm goes off...... it goes off at random times from 1AM to 6 AM every damn night. i go outside all tired and shit turn the key and it turns off. same ruiten every night. when i get out of my car and lock the doors the green light comes on the dash display and says " security " bu i dont know what that means. any ideas????? any wires i can cut??

thanks

Is that inside the door?

Yes, It's inside the door.
Just remove it, or unhook it up and you are set.:thumb:

I have a question regarding my security system, i believe that i do have the factory alarm system because when i lock my doors the green security light goes on, but it never goes off. I can unlock my door from the inside while its locked and no alarm goes off. It does have keyless entry to, thats why im assuming i have it, is there a possibility mine got turned off and could i turn it back on a certain way?

Probably your trigger (Disarm Connector) is not working.

Check the Cylinder Trigger to make sure is not loose or is not hooked up wright, If it is hooked up wright, then, change the Key Cylinder Trigger, driver door side, (Key Cylinder Trigger) Or what ever is called.
It has 3 wires, Ground, Disarm Alarm, and Rearm Alarm,... When you turn the Key to unlock the door, ground passes to Disarm the Alarm, and when you turn the Key to Lock it, ground passes to Rearm the Alarm.

If the Alarm doesn't Disarm when you turn the Key to Unlock the Door, then your Cylinder Trigger is not working.

Hope this helps.

Bumping an old thread...
Having the same problem, is this the switch that I unplug? I don't want to mess something up.

So is that the hood switch that is setting it off?

Bend that metal bracket holding the sensor upwards. It gets bent down over time from the hood being shut and then starts setting off the alarm when its bent too far. Just bend it back upwards. I did that and it hasn't gone off since.
