Okay, my buddy and I are both under the impression that we have the Big 16G. However his says TDO5 and mine says TDO4... uh... could somebody shed some light on this for me please.

No, it's a stick. The turbo is something aftermarket I'm sure of that.... what other possibilities are there...Is it possible to have a 16g in a TDO4 housing? What in the world makes something a "16g" in the first place?

go here this should help some there are 3 diff kinds of 13g's
TDO4-13G-5CM2 360 CFM
TEO4-13C-6CM2 360 CFM
TDO4L-13G-6CM2 360 CFM
TDO4L-15C-8.5CM2 390 CFM
check ur compressor housing again for these numbers

there are a lot more td04s than the 13g, just look at the 3/s community, anything that bolts on is a td04 practially... there are 20gs that are tdo4s, 15g's 13g's,

and most importantly,.... 9B's,... WEEEE, a sub 200 cfm turbo that can push about 18 lbs max.... LOL...either way the turbo you have is not a 16g

Thanks for the help. Just as an update, he has the TDO4, I had it backwards. Heh, needless to say, he's not very happy.

well i hvae a big 16g and i also have a tdo4hl turbo from a japan motor my friend came across, and its bigger then a 14b,but smaller then the 16g,does anyone have info on that turbo?

16g refers to the compressor wheel (the part that spins and sucks in air) while tdo5 refers to the compressor housing (the outside aluminum shell that has td05 cast on it)

both the 14b (stock 1g manual tranny turbo) and the 16g share the tdo5 compressor housing, so you can't tell which is which without actually taking a look at the compressor wheel and as far as i know, it's impossible to tell a 16g and a big 16g apart since they look the same.
