which manifold????

i wad wondering which manifold i should go with for a t3/t4 hybrid setup. I was looking at the slowboy manifolds but wasnt sure, i would be coo getting the cast one with the port job, but i would also send out the extra money for the ss one if it was much better, it looks very nice but didnt know if it was worth the extra money. Someone please help me

SBR cast really looks nice, i dont know is there better mani outside but SBR is , if you are already going to buy one get flage welded to it so you can put external wastegate on it ( its gonna help later on ... dsm guys never stops with upgades until they loose all they money ) It costs good amount of money there , but if you dont know what is good you know what is expensive !

SBR cast really looks nice, i dont know is there better mani outside but SBR is , if you are already going to buy one get flage welded to it so you can put external wastegate on it ( its gonna help later on ... dsm guys never stops with upgades until they loose all they money ) It costs good amount of money there , but if you dont know what is good you know what is expensive !

I second the SBR cast mani. Spend the money on getting the external wg flange on there for future upgrades. I'd go with the porting too. May as well get it all done at once so you can thank yourself later.

I would get that mani, but I wouldnt weld an external on it unless it was on the merge collector. If they weld it on just one runner it will cause reversion when it opens and you dont want that.

If you are wanting one any time soon....good luck, SBR has them on back order until July...and the distributors that i called are out of stock also.

The speed factor did offer to sell me a ported to the max 2g manifold with the egt bung for the same price.

Some guys put an Eclipse on a Dyno and ran a whole bunch of different manifolds. The graphs were included and they showed exactly what manifold was better for quick spool ups, higher HP, and so on... It's in there dude. You just have to find it.

I think you are talking the tests done on INTAKE MANIFOLDS, which included the venom, magnus, and a few others...


anyways, you have to take into consideration about the heat generated from tubular headers. Just thought I let you know about that before purchasing.

i have the SBR manny on a Evo16g. with the stock 2g manifold id hit full boost at around 3600rpm starting in 3rd at 2800. with the SBR full 20psi was reached at 3200rpm, starting out in 3rd gear at 2800rpm. that gives you a idea on how much better it flows.

it also had alot more torque and around town driveability under the boost range. i could hit 40 easily without hitting more than -10psi.

along with that the obvious. it flows more in the uppers. top end felt nice with the evo, but adding the manifold just made it pull alot harder.

i dont know about getting the external flange unless you plan on going external later on. though if the flange can be covered up till you need it i guess its cool to get so you dont have to do it twice later on.

id say the SBR is well worth the money.

I sold my EVO III ported manifold for a tubular header from logic performance. My turbo is the AGP RS60T and it spools almost without lag. I have gotten comments on it's super quick spool. Price is not much more than a ported SBR cast manifold. Mark

Back in the day unless you went with an O2 mounted WG this was the only way to do it. It causes the gases from the other three cylinders to have to go back up against flow then out the WG passage. When you have ALOT of gasses comming out and then you are trying to make some more go in the oppisite way you can see the problem. With all he options available today you should choose one other then that.
