*Which lowering springs are the best?*

I really want to lower my car but not to the point where my frame is scraping speed bumps

I've looked at megan racing springs but i want to know what you guys think i should get. Im kinda on a tight budget but if i have to spend big money i will. Im just looking for springs to lower my car an inch or two. Nothing too crazy.

I've heard stories about people having coilovers and they springs giving out. I dont want that to happen.

Let me know what you think and post pictures of your car lowered on the springs you recommend.

Any advice or help will be most appreciated.

This is been talk already before man you need todo some more research before posting a new thread. If you want to lower you car go with eibach springs they're 250 from stm. If you lower your car you need to fix your camber or you be wearing out your tires from the inside.

My tires wont rub if i dont slam my car to the floor, im just tryin to get rid of the wheel gap

The best drop would be a 1.5" drop. Not too low but low enough. Megan street coilovers are pretty good. Or u can get eibach, tein s tech, which are both good and low price. If u need new struts u should go with the tokico illumina adjustable with the lowering springs.

Had KYB GR2/Megans on my old 2ga Talon (look at my gallery of the white talon in front of a stadium) very bouncy and super low. Now I ride on White Tokicos/Eibach (pic below) and it's a wayyyyy better ride in my current 2ga Talon. But since you don't want any wheel gap and probably want it slammed to the floor, coilovers is the way to go. Real coilovers don't "give" out, just Ebay ones do . I would also not install lowering springs on stock struts since they will go bad after a few months and have to pull them out again. Save up & do it once not twice.

I use Eibach pro's but will be upgrading to full coil over like the tein super street - next season. The Eiby pro's have a stock feel but with my 18's and tokico white's (adjustable dampner) barely notice the car is lowered except when parked next to other cars. and the gap didn't go away at 1.5"s. I think 2" is the way to go but you will NEED camber adjustment, unless you don't care about replacing tires often.

If i do a 2" drop i wont need to camber. ### the wheel gap i have now is pretty big. I just want the fender to be flush with the tire. not slammed*

I have eibach springs on my 1g. They dropped it about 2 inches without any rubbing. I would also recommend upgrading shocks while youre there.
