Toronto,
I have a 97 eclipse spyder GST. I am going to purchase FMIC but dont know which one? I want to keep my stock fog lamps and want the piping to go around the fog lamps. Which FMIC kit wud you recommend?

I would go with a dejon kit My buddy has one and he loves it, but couldn't keep his fog lights. Most of the 2g i know of you have to take the fog lights out. But you could always purchace aftermarket fog lights. You could always try ebay too they have very good ratings.

Go for the ebay SS Autochrome one. Good quality, low price. There's a huge ebay fmic thread about it. Not sure if you can keep the fogs, but its probably in that thread.

I have the Dejon kit and I love it however I wish i would have got the SSAC kit. It is almost the same other then the SSAC kit is thicker (thicker is better when you make alot of HP) then my dejon. The SSAC kit is cheap also, there are alot of people on here using it with great results, just over 300 shipped to your door and that is for the FMIC, Piping, Couplers and t-bolt clamps. If you want one PM me.

I got a no namer for 100 bucks and i was really suprised when it kept temps down. Works great and is cheap. Autochrome is supposed to be pretty decent with the FMIC. For best kit go for a buschur. Gl with your purchase. There is nothing hotter than a 2g with a nice front mount.

If you want the best bang for your buck. It's the SSAC/XS FMIC kit. No need to explain here as there is a huge bible thread, and many other small ones.

But if you want to keep your fog lights and keep appearance over performance, that kit is not for you, same goes for the other highly rated FMIC kits.

For your needs if you want to keep the fog lights, you have Greddy or APEX'i, and im sure a few other ones.

I know wich intercooler you can get, there is a little thing at the top of the page called Search, you can like search topics n stuff :beatentodeath:

The Dejon kit is very nice, ive had it on my car for close to a year now and it has been great, I only have a few bent fins after all this time.

The only reason I want to keep my fogs are because I have an HID kit for them as well as the fact I just want a clean look. I mean up here in Canada if the cops see that sort of piping where the fogs are suppose to be they'll impound my car. So yeah I just want to establish a clean look thats all.

+1 for JohnnyRacecar. It was a decent little intercooler for me, and I love the fact that I was able to keep my foglights with it, but it just didn't seem to cool well enough for my tastes. Flowed 'ok' but just ok. Anything over 34 lb/min and it popped. Just remembet to get the off center inlet and outlets.

I now have a bar and plate intercooler from Vibrant Racing and it is just AMAZING! I got it for right at $350 bux locally. If you go with the JohnnyRacecar go with something bigger than the 6-7" core. It just doesn't have the flow. The new Vibrant I have is 24"x9"x3.25". Not quite as 'polished' but who cares? Its big, mean, and looks great behind mesh.
