Which one of these gaskets would be right for my 90 gsx? Or should i get it OE?
I gave a link and it didnt work. I was looking at the copper titan ones from summit racing. What do you all think? Anyone have any links?

Well it all depends on how much boost you are running and what kind of power you are pushing through your motor. Unless your car is stock I wouldn't go with a stock headgasket or OE replacement. The ones that summit sells you need have your head or block o-ringed. My suggestion to you would be to go with a metal or cosmetic headgasket :)

I will suggest you the Commetic HP Multi Layed Steel Head Gasket :thumb: :thumb: if you do the work in the correct way, I assume you won't have to change this HG again... OMG

Good luck!

Im going with the Cometic HP headgasket. Just make sure the surfaces are super smooth and flat if you go with a Cometic. I just had my bottom end and head redone so sealing shouldnt be a problem.

That is all you need.

The stock headgasket is worth 21psi. I don't care what HP you make, 22psi will blow through the stock paper gasket. Maybe not immediately, but eventually it will. Stay away from the crappy autozone/pepboy felpro shit.

ANY time you take the head off the block it needs to be decked. Take into concideration a good amount of $ is needed. Since you have 1G Headbolts you don't NEED Arp's, but you do need to get the head decked. What that means is you have to take the ENTIRE head apart. Then you need to replace ALL the stock gaskets for the head. I also recommend the stock Valve Cover Gasket sealer....the grey stuff. GM's version is just as good. None of that RVT or Blue Goo stuff.

I have heard people talk about head studs. Should i replace my factory bolts with these studs? My head bolts, i had to use a large allen socket to remove them, was a pain.

You can use them again. I believe the 1G has different type than the 2G.

They are NOT torque-to-yield so they should not stretch. If you want the added security go for the arps, I would. I would since you have it apart. It is a pain in the ass to take it all back apart to do it again.

The #207-4201 89-94 ARP Head Studs (12mm - 12-Point Nuts: Includes VR-4) are the ones you need if you decide to go that route.

ya i agree with all you guys i am doing my head gasket right now and i just went with the stock head gasket. as long as you dont plan on boosting past 20 psi you sould be fine. but i would definately get the arp head studs.
