Could someone tell me which of these injectors would be more efficient with the setup I have?

Setup: 98 Eclipse GS, Hahn's turbo kit (and everything that comes w/ it), HKS BOV, Apexi turbo timer, Apexi N1 Catback Exhaust, short CAI from the turbo, running 7psi. Car stops pulling after 4k RPMs if I'm in boost, if I let out of boost and off the gas then the car pulls fine barely pressing the pedal.

Any help is greatly appreciated, Thanks!

I don't see a walbro 255LHP pump or vortec 12:1 FMU in your mods unless the hahn kits comes with it?

I do need a afp and an afpr. Any suggestions on which to get? And what is a fmu, sorry i'm still new to cars in general ^_^

oh no.....

Well an FMU you is a Fuel Management Unit, its a way to control your fuel when you are needing to adjust it! In your case, you want bigger than stock injectors, so you will need some way to tell the ECU that is what is going on.
And what is the exact turbo(specs please) you got in that kit?

FMU will look like this
Vortech Fuel Management Unit (FMU) - CI Motorsports
or this
Bell Engineering - BEGI - Cartech FMU Rising Rate Regulator

It sounds like you are suffering from fuel cut so you need to research the following parts and find out if you have them.

Fuel pump (like the wally 255)
FMU
missing link or FCD

If you are missing any of these new injectors wont fix your problem. There are a ton of people running stock injectors at 8psi or bellow.

Okay, I have the BEGI, and I guess ill get the fuel pump, that I'm pretty sure I dont' have and what is a FCD?

If you get too big of injectors then you will need to do something with the ecu to get it to idle because you will be running rich. At this point most 420a'a go to MS or portfueler though some have used a unit like an apex or greddy to cut fuel at idle. This doesn't work as well as ms or protfueler and is hard to tune due to our MAP sensor controlling fuel. The FMU used on 420a's doesnt tell the ecu anything.

FCD is a fuel cut defender. Our car uses whats called a MAP (mass air pressure) sensor to decide how much fuel to use. The more rpm's the greater the vacuum that the engine creates and the more fuel is added. When you add a turbo the MAP sees no vacuum and cuts the fuel. The missing link or FCD stops it from cutting the fuel.

Alright so, if I keep the injectors that I have now, get a fuel pump, and an fcd, ill b okay? Or do I still need the fuel cut at idle too?

For the wally fuel pump, should i get the one made for the 95-99 turbo or non turbo, or does it really matter in this case?

Okay, so I know sort of what I need to do now, thanks to all of you :), but I have a few more questions. 1) How can I tell if I have a stock fuel pump or not? 2) How can I adjust the fuel using the BEGI, I've turned the little knob on the side and still no change in fuel pressure?

The wally is silver and a little longer than stock. If you have a stock fuel pump it doesn't matter what you do to the fuel adjustment knob the fuel pump lacks the ability to pump the needed fuel. Also how are you checking fuel pressure?

There is a gauge attached to the fmu under the hood. I'm buying the wally tonight too, sonce I do need it. So knob all the way out or in when I get the pump?

okay, fuel pump installed :) now it's still not running quite up to par, but it's a WHOLE lot better than it was before. This being said, it appears my problem is indeed fuel. What should be my next step in figuring out what to fix? Also, any suggestions on a specific FCD, any one that's best for my build?

Now that you are getting more fuel you need a fcd or missing link. A lot of people say the FCD works a lot better. YOu need to be more specific when you say it's not quite up to par. Whats the problem? You should idle alright but without the fcd it should seem like you have a lot of power loss at about 3000 rpms and above. Is this the case? Also I forget what psi you are running is it below 10psi?

I'm running at 7psi, and what I mean by not quite up to par, is that it still sputters when I put my foot down. I had a friend drive it tonight and he brought up something that never crossed my mind, spark. He said it seems to be the spark that's messed up. I might need new wires or coilpack or something.

When i raised my boost from 7 to 10 it stopped pulling at 4k too i have a 96 gst with a stock turbo would i need a fuel pump as well?

This is the 420a section so not a lot of people will know. Try searching or posting in the 4g63 area

I would make sure you have a fcd first that is your primary concern since the person who originally turbo charged your motor didn't complete the fuel system. After that is done then you can start fixing other things but focus on finishing the fuel system before you start buying other and possibly not needed parts.

Okay, thanks :). Which FCD would you recommend me getting for my current setup, and I checked all my plugs, coilpack, and wires, they are all working fine, so spark is NOT my problem.

Actually I would recomend going with a Symtechlabs.com FCD, why? Because when you buy from a vendor that sponsors the site and is trying to help the community with quality products you help the community instead of giving it to some chinese kid that put that FCD together for a dime.

Yup good point that chinese kid will still be able to make a living putting together ebay turbos.
