I want to eventually upgrade my stock turbo to a big 16g, hopefully by the winter. whos fmic should i go with and what size. i want to use hard piping too. :talon:

different FMIC's will cool differently. as far as which type of core to get [ from what I gathered from research ] is that a bar and plate core is better than a tube and fin. only thing is, with a turbo as small as our 16G's, we'll probably never know the difference.

also when looking for FMIC's there such thing as a side-to-side [ horizontal ] finned intercoolers and up-and-downs [ vertical ] . also from what I know, efficiency is less with the former but cools better. vise versa for the up and downs.

There's also the distinction of where the outlet/inlet's are placed. on sidetoside FMIC's it's better to have the endtanks staggered from each other. like _ - rather than _ _ . once again getting either one, we'll probably never tell the differences.

just somethings to think about
