Which data logger?Check engine is on

Today my 91 gsx didnt want to wake up. After about thirty seconds of on and off with trying it did start. It seemed to idle ok but if I tried to rev it up into 2000 rpms it just stumbled. I let it warm up for 15 minutes like I do everymorning and started to drive to work. my check engine light came on and stayed on the whole trip to work. I did not drive her hard at all this morning after how she acted up. I dont have an obd1 scan tool here at the shop I work. I have a fancy 2000 dollar tool that can read even the heater control modules in the newer vehicles but is worthless on my dsm as with my snapon scantool as well. I have wanted to get a pocketlogger for a little while now. Which ones are the best? Which gives you the most computer tuning? I have a non eprom in there right now but I have an eprom unit in a box from another totaled gsx i stripped. And most importantly for today...Does anyone know how to do th old paperclip bypass mil light flashing trick? I havent had to do this in a long time. Which wires need to be connected at the port. I tried to find a thread on this already maybe I am bad at searchig but some help would be great.

Here is a little walkthrough, what pins to use and what the flashes mean if you do it their way. I work with phone lines, so I had a phone butt tester and that worked great. Just follow the walk through it will help you out.

sweet. Thank you. You know my boss had some adapter plugs for his snap on tool hidden that we never use. (i work at a 4x4 off road shop) And in those connectors was a misu-1 plug. It the same as my car. Thats really nice to have at the shop but I still want a data logger for the car.
