Which bushings to buy?

I've hear of a lot of kits, synergy, symborski, dsmparts, even skateboard bearings. There are ones for under the hood, connecting the shifter base to the car and ones for the cables on the shifter.

My questions is which ones has everyone had the most luck with?


Here is my specific problem. Sometimes when i'm at a stoplight i have trouble getting into first or putting it into reverse to get out of a parking spot. The car has 30k original miles and never grinds(it's a 91).

I bought the symborski kit and i love it! the shifts are tight and crisp. As for not being able to get into 1st or reverse that is a problem for me sometimes to but i have heard that all you need to do is adjust your Shifter cables and it should be fine. check www.vfaq.com i think they have a tech article about it.

I tightened up my cables today and that made a huge difference. Still looking into the bushings though.
Anyone else out had any experience with shifter bushings???

I use the symborski kit. I use skateboard bearings for where the cables connect to the transmission.

I have no complaints about shifter feel, even on my old transmission it was a vast improvement. With my TRE Trans, it's just fun

I put the DSMparts bushings in, and it helped alot!! My shifts are rock soild, and even seem abit shorter. I have both the underhood kit and the in car bushings. They are very nice!(and cheap)
