I got an apexi turbo timer. It says to hook into the o2 sensor so the a/f and o2 readings are right. Which line should I tap into? Should I just run a wire from the o2 sensor to the timer?

You need to know what type of signal the Apexi turbo timer is expecting to see. The factory narrowband output ranges from around 0.2v - 0.7v. If the Apexi unit is expecting voltages outside of that range (like that of a WBO2) it will read completely wrong.

The turbo timer is looking for a narrow band signal. You will be looking to wire into the white wire going to pin #76 (on 2g) as shown in the link below:

The only real usefulness is to tell if you are really rich, or really lean. Typically, these types of devices are not necessary on oil/coolant fed turbochargers. The voltage feature can be useful though.

Tapping into this wire can cause issues. It can alter the voltage readout since most turbo timers put a draw on the line. Don't hook it up, unless you want issues! Took me forever to figure out why I couldn't get my wide band AFR's right "ecuflash/evoscan user" and it was that wire tapped into pin 76 for the turbo timers silly A/F reading!

Get a wide band for an accurate reading. Should be one of your first mods!

Ok, is there somewhere else I can hook it up to where I can atleast monitor my voltage. Can I just hook that wire directly to any positive wire?

You should have at least one wire coming in from the battery, as future mods will need a clean power source. I'd just tap into the battery.

Just hooking into any wire, you could see a fluctuation in voltage.
