Where should I drill a whole for the new socket?

and also the wiring. My gauge is shiped but didnt come in yet, its standalone so all it is is a sensor into the downpipe and wires to the back of gauge and a ground and power source wire right? I dont have to splice any wires to my ecu or anything right?

*Bung *Hole

Needs to be about 36" from the turbo. Before the catalytic convertor if you run one.

Some people have elminated the narrowband o2 and used a large copper heatsink to avoid killing the wideband sensor.

And yeah, no tapping into the ecu. Its all standalone. The gauge requires a 12v source and a ground and that is it.

If your wanting to log with dsm link you do need to tap 1 input on the ecu. Usually something like the MDP, or EGR etc.

Sorry i mean hole my bad. But i don't understand why all these pictures of downpipes have no stock 02 sensor bung or socket. My downpipe connecting to the turbo had a 02 sensor and bung, what do I do with this keep it how it was and drill a new hole or do I unplug this o2 sensor and put the AEM wideband uego there? I dont want my check engine light on for inspection either. And my tuning is going to be Reflashing my ECU so I don,t have to splice ECU.

Just for what it's worth i've had great luck and longer sensor life putting mine in the down pipe right behind the engine (pointing upwards into the area behind the engine and in front of the firewall) as compared to putting it in the area from the turbo down to the oil pan on the front of the engine.

with it on the front i was putting in a sensor a year, since moving it behind the engine (about at the 36" recommended limit) i have had the same sensor for the last 4 years or so
