I need to get a new n/t engine. I was thinking about a stroker or just a good rebuilt unit. I want to spend about $2-2.5k and get a new auto tranny for $1000. I dont really need a turbo but I like my little car for eveyday driving. I put 80 -100 milees a day on it and it's about dead.

If you look around on like dsmtrader or the classifieds you can find blocks in good condition and get them rebuilt as strokers and the such for the price you're looking at.... You can also find factory reconditioned blocks to play with from various shops.

Are you really into your car or really stuck on it b/c for the money you just mentioned you can probably get a pretty nice N/T 1G with not a whole lot of miles on it. Maybe even a 1G turbo of some kind. Look in the classifieds. If you are stuck on your car, then I am sorry that I didn't really throw any new information your way.

I have been looking at this white 93 Talon TSI turbo with 93000 miles on it. It is in good shape has a turbo and still comes with the automatic transmission I want. I am trying to talk the car dealer out of it for 4,000 but he wants 5,000. Cash is not really the issue here.
