My ISC recently went bad and I'm looking for a replacement. Oreillys has them for 90$, rockauto has two kinds -- one for 75$ other for 90$. I've also found places like DSMisc which are a lot more expensive.

Where is the best place? Will the 75$ work?

Thanks.

I got mine from DSMisc. Sure a little more expensive but it's OEM. Can't say for the other options, sure somebody else could chime in.

I wouldnt go o'reillys or rock. ISC's are one of those things where its better to go oem. Imagine paying 90$ for a part that doesn't work 100%, if youve messed with enough of these cars, youll know that idle issues plague these cars. DSMisc is going to be the best place (and cheapest) to get a new one, that is option 1A. Option 1B would be to get a used working isc like above poster said, ebay or classifieds. OEM isc from the factory is insanity, i think last time i checked about 250$+

Yeah that's what I'm wondering, is the OEM with an extra ~$100?

Also, I've found a few on ebay pretty cheap --but they are the unrevised tan ones. Are they safe to use, or are the revised black ones a necessity?

In my opinion, yes. That's why I bought it. Don't care to buy things twice, just go OEM on parts like this and don't have to worry about it. But like I stated above, I can't offer personal experience with these no name or revised ones. They might work perfectly... Who knows until you buy and try.
