Where to find a cheap manual rack!?!

Besides junk yards .. ect does anyone know of any good online sites that have them forsale so we dont have to hunt for weeks at junkyards?

I know most 1.8s came with them at least the lasers prodominantly but i wasnt sure if they were found in any turbos or not? ..

I was also told to make sure and get the mounts and bushings along with it.

BTW what did you guys pay for your complete set up when you converted?

ps. i dont need any of the "why would you want to covert your car" crap .. ive driven one with a manual rack and i love the feel of it, its so much more solid feeling and my power steering is going out. besides its my car not yours

First I won one off ebay then I found one locally 2 days later and backed out on the ebay deal. I got my rack for $60 and about an hours drive. I only had to give him my power rack so he could move his pos around. So far I've had to replace the outer tie rods and I think the inners are shot to. So this got costly quick. Ill have about $200 in a manual rack after all is said and done.

I paid 70.00 shipped from a guy on DSMTrader, but you have to be careful on there(lots of scams). I think the inner tire rods on it are shot as well though because it has a lot of play before it turns. Not a bad price though. I found a site when I was looking for them, but I can't remember the name of it. They had brand new ones with the inner tie rods for 210.00. Search the net a while you might find it if you want to pay that much.

dsmgraveyard sells them when they have them, and supposedly in nice shape. Not cheap though, somewhere around $200.

You can buy a rebuilt (to new spec) rack for like $280 online, but it ends up being $380 because you don't have a core. WTF

I found mine locally and ended up paying $100 for it.

The only thing you'll need to buy new (usually) is the passenger side bracket.

the part number for that is MB315178 and it should be right around $10

Yeah i should have bid on the one i saw a while ago on ebay .. it went for like $80 or something like that. Ive had a couple offers on my WTB add on traders but they all want $250+ and thats WAY too much for what im buying.

Im thinking about going to some local junkyards near school and looking around!
