good time to do a 6bolt swap, or stroker kit or forged internals.

if you are on a budget you can have your crank turned at a machine shop and get over sized bearings if its not to bad.

Have you checked with the supporting vendors? There are quite a few that sell engine internals.

I'm not looking to do any kind of performance upgrades cause I'm not looking to make no more than factory power just want to do a factory bottom reabuild. I bought the car as a daily driver and while I was on the way home with the car it spun a rod bearing my budget is pretty tight cause I spent all my money to buy the car just want to get it running again so I can drive it.

Look for a used 7 bolt. You will probably save the most money that way. You can do that or swap in a used 6 bolt if you want.

STM has a 7 bolt longblock with 95k on it for $750 shipped right now.
Just throwing that out there if you do look for another motor.

Can you post pics of the damage to the crank? If its not too excessive your best bet would be to have the crank turned by a well known machine shop and just buy all new oversized bearings. This would be the most cost effictive route if you are doing the labor yourself.

Whats the contact info for STM that sounds to be a good deal. I've been pricing crankkits and they are going for around 500 they come with new crank all the bearings and factory rods and some kits come with oil pump and headgasket.

No I'm not lazy Im just new to the dsm world and I didn't know who or what STM was so I'm sorry for asking questions. Thank you to the ones who have helped me.
