Hello guys, tried to search but couldn't find a thread that would have been suitable for my problem.

Where can I find a block heater that fits my 420a? I certainly need one, since the temperatures in my country can go below -30 degrees Celsius during winter. I have tried two resistor units from a Nordic manufacturer Defa (their Neon-specific and PT Cruiser-specific models, hence these cars have the same block), they worked for a while but only ended up having them shorted out during a couple of months.

Any Canada/Alaska guys who have a working solution in their car? I'd be really pleased to have a part number, since I wanna drive my DSM also during winter!

I doubt there was a block heater ever made that was specific to a 420a. That being said, there are tons of universal block heaters you can buy just about anywhere. You can get ones that are magnetic and stick you your oil pan or block. I believe there are heaters that go in the place of your oil dipstick to heat the oil. The only other one I know of is a small heater that your radiator hose and it heats the coolant.

Make sure you are running a thinner oil for the winter, and your battery/cables/terminals are in tip top shape.

I dont know what the auto part store names are in europe, but you should be able to go to an auto parts store and purchase a few different types of block/oil pan heaters. Since the motor comes stock out of a 95-99 rs eclipse, just give them that when they ask what car its for.
