so i just got this car and it keeps throwing a CEL because the 2g intake manifold sensor has no place to plug in. i dont know much about 6bolt swaps but i know theres some fix to this, what is it?

code is P1400 manifold diff. pressure

sorry i put in MDP and EGR, like i said im new to this so i didnt know thanks...that MAP sensor is the same as MDP sensor?
also, since im new at this, where does that thing plug into or what hooks up to it on the 1g manifold?

The MDP sensor is not a MAP sensor but even parts companies refer to it as such. I guess you have to realize no one in the DSM world knows what it is and start searching for the wrong key words ROFL

You just bolt the MDP sensor to that little aluminum block and then hook the nipple on the block to a vac source. You can just "T" it into the FPR or BOV line.

Rember to keep it vertical or it will get a little flaky on you. The MDPs we have are not very accurate at all, and anything you can do to make it more accurate will help. Here's what I did when I used a 1G manifold on my 2G block/head: Get some vacuum line and some super glue. Don't mess with the nipple on the bottom of the MDP, just get a line that stretches over it, and glue the shit out of it. It will hold just fine. Be SURE not to get any glue inside the nipple! Then, T the vacuum line up to your FPR solenoid, and if you can, zip tie the MDP underneath the center of your STB (if you have one). This way, the lines from the harness will fit just fine, the vacuum lines won't get crimped, and the MDP will be out of eyesight, giving you a cleaner engine bay. Doing this will also keep the MDP vertical, helping it function the way it should.

When you're all done, do a pressure test to make sure the seal on the MDP is holding.

Matt.
