where do you guys buy your engines

i am looking for a 420a engine to put into my friends 1995 eclipse GS/RS (not sure what one it is). i cant seem to find it anywhere on the interenet. please reply.. thank you

Have you checked ebay? or any junkyards around your area? thats where I would be looking.

This is a search engine that quiries many wrecking yards across the USA.:

Try a search and look for the best deal. You will probably find at least 10 or more used engines this way.

You could also go with a "JDM Engine", but I think the wrecking would work fine.

alright guys, naganojapanese.com has 4g63 engines, will those work in the 1995 RS? (like bolt up) and as for that site you posted, how much do they charge for shipping.. i live in california.

yea i have checked ebay (i cant find a thing) and the junkyards want wayyyy too much money just for a motor (i want one around 7-800$ (am i being too cheap or are these motors really that expensive for a plain ol' 420a, 140 HP doesnt seem like much to me, my h22a motor only was 1200$ which isnt bad, but for the 420a they want like 1400-1600 just for the engine)

No.. the 4g63 won't bolt up in a 95 RS/GS. Gotta find a 420A.. try checking Dodge Neons for them too..

I found one for my friends RS for $1300 and i was able to talk them down $1000 becasue it didn't have an intake manifold on it. i went and got one for 50 bucks later!!
