I'm pretty sure Lucas English can do it but It would cost you more than sending it in to ecmlink I belive.I am in your situation if this is your DD.I finally just said screw it because I couldnt have any down time so I just did it myself. It worked fine but didnt look to pretty.I am now having all kinds of fun ecu trouble. It keeps reseting and being a pile of shit.My fault but I would NOT do it by yourself:thumb:

yea i know ecmlink does socketing, but i cant see where it names the price or service on there site.

If you do trust you own skills with a soldering gun then,
here is a good step by step http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/articles-tuning-ecu/266472-socketing-eprom-ecu.html

If not Jeff from http://www.dsmchips.com/faqs.phpl will do it for $50 and can get back to you the next day after he has it or even the same day if possible
but I think he's out of town right now and lives on the other side of the country in FL

There is also Steve a wiseman on here that also will for $50 DSM (Talon Eclipse Laser) and 3S (3000GT and Stealth) ECU Service and Repair

there is someone local that use to do it... I'm Trying to remember Who but can't off the top of head

yea i think im a go with Jeff from dsmchips.com i guess since im already getting the chip from there. thanks for the replies!

I have my friend do all mine. He worked in electronics for a few years and I've never gotten a bad one from him.

I've done a few on other makes that have eprom ecu's that are easy to find in the junkyard, but I screwed a few up doing that.

I did mine... Then I redid mine again with a new socket... Are there any tv/radio/vcr/stereo repair shops in salem? I had a place in KC called "Electronics Center" socket my first 1g's ECU. They got it done the same day and it worked great!!
