Where Can I Get A Carbon Fiber Look Front Strut Bar?

Sup Guys,

I once saw a Carbon Fiber "Look" Front Strut Tower Bar on Ebay which looked pretty good, However I havent seen it on ebay for a while. Does anyone know where else I might be able to find this?

That's hot, but I really dont want to spend $100.00 for a strut bar.

Ya you get what you pay for with the DC CS strut bar, a bar that doesn't fit properly . I bought one when they first came out, the holes didn't line up correctly on the strut towers, so no biggie, I just filled the holes a little larger. Get it all bolted down, close the hood & guess what, it hits on the passenger side hood brace, I even cut away a small section of the hood insulation right where the bar contacts & still not enough clearance. I ended up taking the bar back where I got it & had it exchanged for a b&m shifter (which on a side note is amazing). This was a few years ago when they first came out so they might have fixed this issue. I ended up getting the std adjustable bars that every company carries. The DC units does look way better though

I'm curious, how did the strut bar make your engine catch on fire? Was your battery bolted down with the battery tie down strap? If the strut bar was bolted and the battery can't move, where did the fire come from??

Please do explain..expecially how a strut bar made your engine catch on fire..i mean i can understand racing and wrecking or something and blaming it on a dear......but a strut bar making ## engine catch on fire is intresting...

Yes it was bolted down with the tie down but some how it managed to move i guess, and since the dc bar is inches away from the battery it made an ark and started a fire and it loved my cf hood take a look

You're battery moving and arcing on the strut tower bar is not the fault of the strut bar. Bolt it down correctly and the battery will not move at all.

ok...that i hilarious sorry man but stupidity can be a ***** dont worry im replacing a head on my eclipse and cams...since i forgot to set teh timing on the oil pump ...its happens trust me

I agree, that's just silly. This is like blaming mitsubishi when you blow up your motor because you're running a 16g at 20psi with everything else stock.

user error does not necessarily make the part faulty.

Guess what? any strut bar would've caused that fire, because you didn't have a battery tie down. I do agree though, it sucks sometimes when a major disaster happens and it's your fault. Unfortunately all we can do is pick up and move on.

It's too bad too, it was a pretty nice looking car.

On that note, don't buy 17" wheels either! Mine only lasted three slides into the curb at 45 mph before they broke! Talk about POS!

you are totaly wrong my friend... the dc bar sits a lot lower then a regualr bar

yeah its true that that strut bar didnt fit right. and that id made his car catch fire. ive had two dsms now.. both of which the battery tie downs dont hold the battery 100% tight. no matter how tight i tighten them. i can stand above my engine bay and shift my battery back and forth. its not so much the battery tie down as it is the battery tray.
