Where can I find/buy a db9 male serial connector?

I am going to make my own 1g logger cable for my Palm m515.

I've tried a bunch of stores and noone carries them.

I need just the metal part that connects with my serial port on my Palm m515, the metal part that has 9 male pins.

I searched and searched on there and didn't find any db-9 male heads, just a bunch of terminals....

anybody know where I can find those db-9 male heads that people who make 1g logger cables use?

Do you have a part number from Radio Shack?

Also, what is the difference between a rs-232 male head and a db-9 male head?
Which one is better to use?

I went the other day to Radio Shack and bought the db-9 male connector for like $1.39

I got a pack of like (10) 10k diodes for like .99 cents and a pack of (5) 1N914 resistors for .99cents

The diodes and resistors are really small....I thought they were supposed to be bigger or something.

Will any soldering iron work or does it have to be a specific type of soldering iron?

The type of soldering iron won't matter but the solder will. Only use rosin core.
