Normal driving - 2000-2500 rpm
Racing -
1st - 7500rpm or bounce off rev limiter if there's tire spin
2nd - 5th 7200rpm
I don't know why I like shifting so late, but when I had my full exhaust on the car just kept pulling past redline. I honestly don't know wth you guys are talking about the t-25 losing steam by 6500
Now that I read the whole thread, i too wonder why everybody shifts so early.... 6000rpm?? A lot of people think revving higher will "hurt the engine". It's not exactly good for it, but it won't hurt it. The point of shifting at the right moment (right at redline or past) is to have the rpm drop on the "sweet spot", which is around 5000rpm. If you shift at 6000, you'd drop below 5000rpm, so you're actually going slower.
