wheel hop killing launch

every time i try to launch i don't get traction but wheel hop instead. How can i keep this from happening????

you're launching too hard... trying feathering at 3k; wheel hop will never go away if you cant drive

^^^i agree with both posts, urethane motor mounts will help out a lot, but at the same time you dont want to launch your car to hard, slip the clutch in stead of dumping it.

And if your not careful wheel hop can damage stuff. Just ask my lil bro when he was trying to do burn outs in a parking lot last week what a dumb ass my lil bro is. And I ment that with love

use window weld, i have heard it practically eleminates wheel hop

on my rs turbo that was one thing that killed me along with the spinning... first to second. i start off at launching from 3 or 4 grand and hold the clutch alittle till i start the roll and as soon as i feel the take off i let it go and i propell forward as if i were bursting out a barrel then second gear comes flying by with an easy approach. making sure not to slam it into gear but put it where its needed. then iam all go from there. the first second and third blow offs are quick as hell..pst, pst, pst... then psssssssssssssssst then theres a woop wooooop! pull over... hahaa

RMDSM sway bars helped my wheel hop. I was about ready to order some prothane motor mounts as I'd heard (like others have already stated in this thread) that stiffer mounts will help cut down on wheel hop. Anyway, I had ordered some RMDSM sway bars (not to combat this issue), and to my surprise after I installed them, my wheel hop was almost non existant! Woohoo! Addded bonus! Sure I can still get wheel hop, but it is nothing like it used to be before.

also your tires can cause it too, I use to get it, I swapped my rear meaty softer tires and put them in front and the made it completely go away. the prothane more helped, but I still got a bit of it at the top of first. now she just spin, grip and go

I what about coil-overs I put in motor mounts and it helped but I was wondering if coil- overs would help at all too?
