Wheel has play.

Hi there. When I jack up my car, I can grab the wheel from each side and MOVE it in and out, it moves a good inch. What could the problem me? Wheel Bearing? I'm not sure, and can not tell from looking at it.

most likely your wheel bearing....i had the same problem. It's easier to just swap in a whole new hub assembly.

front or rear wheel ? if its the front, have someone else move the wheel (or do it yourself while looking behind the wheel...easier on a hoist) back and forth and watch to see what moves. if the tie rods move they are probably bad, if the ball joints move, they are probably whats bad. if its your rear wheel doing this, its probably the wheel bearing.

my tie rod end is bad, but that couldn't cause this, right?

i recently replaced the lower control arm/ball joint/axle with new parts

i couldn't get the axle out of the old hub, so i had to get a bunch of stuff from a junk yard...

a bad tie rod would mainly make it move back in forth... im not sure about the in and out part. but since you know its bad, you might aswell change it first and go from their. my .02

If you grab it on the sides and it moves then it's a tie rod easy fix. If you grab it from the top and bottom and it still moves then it's your wheel bearings PITA fix. You'll need a press to get them out otherwise find a shop to do it. If you do the bearings it's a good time to check the ball joints since you'll have the hub off and they would most likely be shot as well.
