My car doesnt feel right after my illuminas install from a local shop. the car Doesn't feel as planted as it should, could be bad bushings I'd suspect. Either way, The left rear sits a little higher than the other side. why? I didn't lift the rear yet but upon inspection of the front, I noticed the spring wasn't fully seated, just not sure of the problems that may entail. here are pics of the front

here is a photo of the driver side front wheel

Definitely seat the spring. How worn were the rest of the suspension components when you slapped these on?

If this is a recent installation then you must have gotten used shocks (I can see rust). Did you make sure they werent blown? If there's nothing to dampen the spring then under the weight of the car the spring will not act the way it should and the car would behave they you described.

I wouldn't drive it like that especially since it is so easy to fix.
Do you have a spring compressor tool?
They can be rented from auto parts stores if you don't.
Have you contacted the shop who did the install?
If you don't want to fix it your self, Ill bet that the shop who installed incorrectly will fix it for free.

The spring could have twisted when they were bolting it up..

Unloosen it a bit, and try yanking the spring into it resting place..Or take it the hell back and have them fix it right..

Everything was pretty worn at the time of installation, but I changed the mounts and all the parts that correspond to the installation. My biggest concern is although there is a significant difference from the blown shocks to these, there is still a noticeable body roll. I'm just wondering if maybe It's the Tokico springs that sucks or Is it the bushings. Either way definitely going to head out to the shop to have them fix it

If these are lowering springs, they will be very easy to move especially in the rear. You probably wont need a spring compressor at all as the tension on the spring cap is very little.

You wont need a spring compressor, the spring rates on the tokicos are not a whole lot higher than the stock rates. The back are only a few lbs more per inch. I run this same setup on my car and it does pretty well on the track but it will still have some body roll. However this setup will still be a decent ride on the street. If your going for a track only car these are not the springs you want but for mostly driving in town and occasional track use these are fine IMO

Typical Tuners advice. Eibach disagrees that you should "seat" the spring.

Eibach said:
Leave a ¼" to ½" space between the end of the coil and the spring seat pocket. This will help prevent spring noise when encountering large bumps.

16th bullet down.

While there is too much gap, you don't want to burry the spring into the seat.

Does that look like 1/4"-1/2" to you? I've had an improperly seated spring on OE struts waybackwhen and had a very similar feeling to what is being described.

Anything useful pertaining to the problem, or are you just here to make "Typical Tuners" comments. We have a log out button for the latter.

I'm concerned with the "planted" feeling, more so than the body roll. They make stiff setups and sways for that. ;)

Jesus, this site is falling to shit.
You're helping, for sure.

I was focused on your complaint, and admittedly missed the useful blurb buried under the bellyaching.

Perhaps try not starting your posts with such "quality" assessments of the site? Maybe post the helpful info and move on? Maybe just move on?
