Whats wrong with my lights!!!!

Well i just bought a 1995 Gsx from my brother, perfect running car when i got. He had it for two years and it never broke down on him ever! I drive it for about 3 weeks and one day my inside lights shut off but i didnt notice it at first. Then my car shut off and smoke started coming from under the hood. It was smoking by the alternator and mine was orignal so i tested it and it was bad. I changed it and still my headlights and tail light and dash lights arent working, Then my ignition fuse kept blowing, so i new some wires or something were touching. I took off my front bumper and found that my harness in one spot were completely melted together, i fixed all the wires and reconnected them and still no lights. then my brother tells me the person he bought the car from had the Tail light relay and headlight relay jumpered in the fuse box. I cant figure out why!!! Oh yea somtimes my headlights just turn on by themselves when ever they want too. I dont want to take it to a shop and get railed for something probably really simple. Look in the engine fusebox and tell us what pin (or wire) is jumpered to what on these 2 relays. If have to, disconnect battery and unbolt the fusebox and look underneath. Also examine all the wires underneath for shorts, breaks, etc.
