What's that worst thing that happened to you when you got your DSM?

The piece coming off the block that holds the motor mount snapped the bolts in it, had a hell of a time trying to fix it. Passenger side front Caliper froze up, the turbo line going from the turbo to the oil pan blew out. Cars only making about 5 PSI so i got a boost leak somewhere...
 
i crashed my 2g N/t auto into a ditch at 60MPH X_X, sudden snowstorm then disappeared , had to make a chance turn and turned too early=[
 
picked mine up and it was early spring so the snow packed residential streets were pure ruts and well.....ruts and low pro's don't mix very well. when I hit the highway I realized I had a flat so I pulled over and found 2 flat tires. Limped her all the way home going 30km/h for the whole 30 mile drive.
 
I think it was the time where I had made about 60 miles of a 300 mile drive. Somehow my front motor mount bolt came out causing the engine to shift forward a little bit. This caused the driveline to wreck the output seal in the transfer case and run it dry. The gears welded themselves together at 80mph and gave me a pretty good scare. Once I got it home, I was unable to remove the transfer, due to the internals being seized on the output shaft on the trans. I had to cut the oil pan in half just to remove what was left of the t case. Total nightmare.

So any ways I traded my civic for a 91 awd talon. The problem i'm having is the car will not rev of 3Grand. My buddy comes over we start working on it Hes adjusting looking for vaccum leaks well this good bad really quick all the sudden the antifreeze starts boiling so my buddy yells cut the engine cut the engine. Antifreeze from the over flow tank start dumping on my turbo from the dump tube. My buddy grabbed it and boom the over flow tank cap explodes off while he is bent over all over his face he yells and I look up his face is steaming from the antifreeze being on it. He rubs his face as some skin comes off in his hand from the 2nd and 3rd degree burns he just sustained. What a messed up day

Damn, that really sucks. I can only imagine how much that hurt.
 
So i buy my 96 eclipse gst about 100 miles away from my house i always wanted a eclipse so i didn't care. The kid tells me that it has a bad tire rod end and I'm like ok that will make me home no big deal i will just baby it on the high way. So i get about half mile from my house and i lose oil psi so i just threw it in neutral and coasted to my house after shutting the car off of course then i get out and check the car and come to find out our was the upper ball joint not the tire rod endthe nut had one set of threads left before the steering knuckle would have come loose. So i fix the ball joint and pick up a mechanical oil psi gauge get it hooked up start the car and i had oil psi! But now she is running excellent. I just have a few more things to replace mechanical wise before i start upgrading. I love my dsm!
 
Bought my gst about 40 miles from the town I live in, went and test drove it the week before, finally decided to drop all my well earned cash, $3,200... Gst, 16g, brand new Tial BOV, front mount... basically every supporting mod besides injectors...

So I buy it, hop back on the highway. Going like 57mph behind an 18 wheeler, the passing lane opens up and im like... here we go! Drop it to 3rd gear, stomp the pedal to the floor, turbo starts howling like a raped ape and im scootin along, just get to the front of the semi and BOOOOOOOM! loudest noise ive heard come from an engine bay in my life... big ass cloud of grey smoke in the rear view, couldnt even see the car behind me. So I pull over, car doesnt start, great. Im 5 miles into my new to me ride... pop the hood and what do you know. An intercooler pipe blew apart. I thought I toasted it 10 minutes after I handed over 160 $20 bills (yeah im a dick like that, dude counted it 3 times because he kept losing track haha)

Launched the spyder with antilag at 20 psi and snapped a cv in half. :D
 
Somehow all the teeth on my timing belt are gone, bent a valve. Unaware that I could fix a valve for like $40, I bought a head off someone here for $250. Dropped it off to be resurfaced, and find out that there are 4 bent valves. Now gotta fix that too, n drop it in. Also AAA broke my bumper while towing it.
 
Definitely sucked getting pulled over for no plate (It's legal to drive it once buying from point of buy to home without a license...however it is not legal without proof of insurance), the state boy gave me a ticket for no proof of insurance, 2 fix-it tickets: one for my side window tint (which I later found out was legal) and some lights that had blue lenses on them on the back of my car....all the while I was only 15 at the time and my friend had to drive :p
 
The first thing to happen to me was when I bought my third talon and when I purchased it, I drove it to my Mom's boyfriends auto repair shop and asked him to do a oil change and certify and emission test it to transfer the title. I picked it up from the shop left and got on the highway and 20 mins into the drive I heard a pop and started to loose oil pressure. My Mom's loser boyfriend didn't tighten the oil plug and it popped off! I had it towed back and that weekend he had left the car outside and it was broken in to and the did 1000 dollars worth of body damage to the passenger door and destroyed the interior ripping out the AFC fuel controller and guages along with half the dash, causing another 1500 dollars. Did I tell you it wasn't insured because I wanted to cahnge ownership insure it after safty and cert. My mom was battling cancer and the car was put a side. After My Mom lost her battle after a 4 and half year battle. I kicked my Mom's boyfriend out of my house and tried to get the talon back together. After 10 years and some blood, sweet and tears and with some help from friends and Marco from Magnus Motorsports we finally got the car back! Just installed DSM link and tuned by Marco, Monday it should be done I'll let the forum know what the numbers (hp) it pulls. Thinking it should be around 375hp.
 
When I first got my 1G Talon I was unaware that the water pump was driven by the alternator belt. The alternator was seized solid, and I wanted to take if for a bit of a spin down the road and back. It overheated almost to the red. Knowing that it got that without any water circulation has bugged me to this day.
 
Clutch slave cylinder leaked out all my fluid on the drive home... Record for fastest dsm problem LOL less than 20 min of owning it
 
Also I bought my great white buffalo (92 white talon tsi) with a bad motor and about an hour after the swap I got rear ended so hard I hit the girl in front of me, got pushed under the back of her car and she got pushed out into the intersection...bought the car for 1500 and got 6k from insurance and still kept my motor :)
 
got my 96 elcipse gs w/turbo on thrusday, friday we had a big storm, i don't know how, but a big assed tree branch came from no where, across the dorm house parking lot, and set it's self down nicley on my roof, ive had the car 3 days now, needless to say, i don't have insurance , passenger side of the roof of crunched down about 2 1/2 inches, like, that's the gap of open air between my roof and hatch, no windows broke , think i can just kinda, hook it to somthing, and raise it back, dents in the roofs no biggie no to me right now, that big gap in the structure, thats and issue, and help would be appreciated, cause quite frankly, this is a FML moment
 
Bought the car abused. Thought i did a good job talking the guy down from $2500 to $1500 with the car needing valve seals, and clutch. Took the car to my mechanic the next day;

Motor mounts broken
clutch master and slave cylinders
valves seals
and why the heck not. turbo went out later.
 
Bought my talon knowing it had a bad LR wheel bearing. I'm a mechanic I do wheel bearings all the time so I though it would be a half day job if that. Ripped it apart found axle was seized in the hub. Still I thought it was no big deal figured I could just get one from advanced. Wrong! Ended up ordering one of dsm graveyards thick Axles ### It was the cheapest I could find 260.00. Waited a week for it and they sent me a LSD axle by mistake. Waited another week. Finally a mounth after I bought my talon I could finally drive it LOL.
 
Driving on the interstate, and my power steering belt decides to give out. It popped off and tore loose so hard it jerked the wheel and I almost lost control. Thanks God it wasn't wet.
 
Driving home on the interstate & realizing it takes 20 seconds to go from 60-70-mph.:( :mad: :barf:

somethins wrong there... mine goes up to around 120 no problem and it sure doesnt take that long. mines not even turbo
