My second day of owning my 95 TSI AWD the brake lines screwed up and started spraying brake fluid right out of the driver's side front caliper.

that's a true story, and definately sets the tone for my DSM ownership.
first mistake. It had been rallied into a curb damaging the right rear wheel bearing, no big deal. The timing belt was bad enough I am suprised it didn't break on the test drive . . . Another $200, 24 PBR's n alot of cussing later later I figured it was good to go and was . . . well for about a week. Then I noticed the engine randomly starting to get hot sometimes. Then almost uncontrollably overheating. Seems like a head gasket right?? Nope burnt valve. So another couple hundred bucks a few cases a PBR later I really thought I'd be good for awhile. The good news is I got to get on it enough to find out it feels like all four of my rotors are warped. And finally I noticed a nice deep knocking sound that got worse with load and rpm. UH oh there goes a rod or at least the bearings. So my boss at the time talks me into taking to his mechanic. He charged me almost $400 to put new rod bearings in it. This story ends about 25 miles from his shop still ten miles from home in the pouring down rain with an engine that sounded like two dozen bolts in a blender. What a way to enter into dsm ownership again. The car has been sitting for several months now because I have been to9 pissed off to even look at it
but have now bought a 90 tsi awd parts car and will be doing a 6 bolt swap
still ran fine but codes shown, HERE is the funniest freaking part........READY? The damn oil filter blows off!WTF oil spews all on the underside of my car I see the whiteish smoke( it was night fall ) I'm looking at my gauges and I see the oil pressure drop I shut the car off and coasted to the nearest parking lot. ?I thought I blew a return line.... Nope the oil filter gasket blew out. I had AAA But i thought it was funny after, when I figured all I had to do was replace the filter and add New oil " Not the best way to do an oil change" I'll say I killed two birds with one stone, undercoated and rust proofed my car and did an oil change
