Totaled out my old Spyder, agreed to not buy another DSM for a while to my gf. Went to PA and picked up my new DSM a coulpe of weeks later... The gf is not happy... She won't ride in it. I haven't seen her since I showed her the car... Went on a date with a cute asain girl, she won't call nor will I...

So this Spyder has gotten rid of a lot of annoying sh*t apparantley... Not much luck with the women, but the car drive great!!!

10hours into getting my licence and driving my first DSM for the first legal time. I roll out my drive way and head up the street, not even 500m from my house, a Mercedes collects the front end of my car when he doesnt stop for a corner :ohdamn:
 
Yea I bought my car and I had a 9 mile drive back home. I had my buddy following me and about a mile out the car died.WTF. Then I finally realized I needed a new battery..got a new battery and started to drive again..another 2 miles..ran out of gas..so I had to go fill up a gas can and brought it back and put it in the car..finally,3 hours, $240 later, I got it home...I parked it out front to move my other car to put the talon in. When I got back in the car,put it in reverse...shot a rod right through the block...I WAS SO PISSED..I bought an engine off craigslist for $500 and did the swap in my garage and got it running again. Then I found a fuel pump wire kit problem,needed a new oil filter housing,tire,turbo,a new mass,body pieces,windshield,etc..so I said #### it and parted it out..looking to buy another 1g here shortly to start the whole damn process over again haha..dsm love right there.
 
bought a 95 gsx guy said it had a lifter tick (non consistent ticking noise) when i test drove it didnt hear anything irregular and didnt hear it til about half my way home from my 70 mile trip half mile short from my house she shattered a connection rod worst investment of my life trying to rebuild her this was last week any cranks pistons rods or blocks let me know thanks
 
a week after i got my talon i was driveing home from school and a couple of guy road up to me and honked i looked over and they pointed forwar they wanted to drag race i noded my head and we were off i wasnt thinking nothing of it when we came to a curve i turned real sharp and there was a house and a mail box when i came to the mail box really fast i knew what ws going to happen so i just took out the mail box i shattered the glass and nocked my head lights out worst day ever and got my car tooken away and then got it fixed a week later
 
I had my gsx for 5 days and the head gasket blew on stock boost with a completely stock car it must have been on its way out when i bought it, it sucked.
 
i bought my NA and for the first 3 months it ran perfect, no problems at all! then i was losing coolant, water pump. my mom worked at a garage as the manager cut me a hella deal :hellyeah: right? no, mechanic put the timing pulley on wrong shredded my timing belt, bending every exhaust valve and breaking 4 intake valves 5 months of arguements with the owner over how it "wasn't his responsibility" finally they bought and engine, 6 bolt turbo, slapped the head head on my 7 bolt bottom end, and THE DAY i got my car on the road again, the transmission to a sh*t, so had that rebuilt then about 3 months later spun a rod bearing...
 
I'm not so sure much more could have gone wrong, bought it seemed like a great deal at the time. Bought a 95 talon tsi awd drive from what a thought was a friend. Paint was good, looked good for the year. When I test drove it, it ran like a dream other than breaks where shot. I bought the car the day before the first snow last year and when I got brought it out of the garage in the spring the clutch started slipping within a week. When I got it up on the lift to replace the clutch I realized that the frame was basically shot. I replace almost every sensor on it, finally got it running good then the MAF started acting up and the stock clutch I put in went out (bad choice on my part) and then the head gasket when out. Finally decided to start over clean and sold it. I know own a 1990 tsi awd, its a project car, but the body is CLEAN!
 
Three months after I got my 93 gsx after all The work I pu in it finally dropped it. went for a test drive around the block and this $#!t happens

i bought a tsi with a non turbo shortblock... needless to say i blew multiple ring lands off with 19psi on a 14b... now i know why i was getting so much knock
 
everything. depends. i mean ive had to change the entire wire harness she still didnt start. had to take it to a shop to fix the problem. really the whole build has been shitty. im just glad its all over with. $2,000 later. if i would of saved money i could of bought one that ran. but no i had to resseruct one
 
Mine flooded two days after I bought it, and both the door handles got ripped off :(
 
I had just traded to my fourth dsm. Got a 99 gst and drove it home. Everythin was okay except the fact that it needed a new turbo..Turns out the second time i drove it, i was pulled over in dq's parking lot messing with my safc not doin anything wrong and the dam thing starts smoking and i here something just splatter everywhere...get out to find every once of coolant all over the parking lot and the thing over heated. Turns out to be a blown headgasket. . :barf: wow
 
I thought mine sucked. I had just bought it that night. All that happened to me is that I poped a coolant line off the TB. All I did was re route the lines so they don't go to the TB anymore and the problem was solved. No money involved, just a screw driver.
 
I bought my 92 awd tsi and drove it a week before the oil filter decided to un-screw itself. I lost every ounce of oil the car would hold. got it home and put new oil and an oil filter on it. Everything ran great until the next night when I was at a stoplight and started to go and then f***, s***, d***. b****. The motor locked up. I now have a fully built motor and a whole lot of power that my wife said I was going to have to wait to have. Ha-Ha.:thumb:
 
My oil cooler seal broke, shot oil all over the road. My car died, I thougt it was the TPS acting up again so I started it back up. Once I stopped oil was pouring from my car. Soon after that I had crank walk. 4,000mi on that built engine. JE pistons were shot!
 
During exam week my oil pump seal failed out and was leaking a quart of oil every 15 miles. Paid a shop to fix and do the timing belt as I needed the car. Now back at the shop with a groove in the timing belt and a missfire. Back at the shop for the timing belt. Hopefully it fixes the missfire.
 
first day on the road with my 97 eclipse gst i pulled up to the light and here comes a pontiac gto next to me this old guy mustve been like 70, no lie, revved his engine. i looked at him revved mine and when the light turned we were off we were side by side for a while. i let off the gas so i can just cruise and what do you know a state trooper comes flying up behind me pulled me over.. the old guy ran from the cops and never got caught. i gave a statment about the guy and he let me go!! i was soo lucky the cop said i wouldve lost my license car and would have a bunch of fines. then the next day i blew my head gasket go figure right :/

Florida troopers usually suck, one dueche cuffed me and impounded my car then wrote me up as a fugitive after convicting a felony when I simply missed a court date for underage drinking. I only met one cool trooper, the first day I drove my first car to the beach.
 
I got one from a buddys DSM.. We had just picked it up in San Francisco. Now, we had to fix the car in the first place to start driving it home. Well it started to poor on the way home, turned the wipers on.. Yep, they didnt work.. So now its dark, were about 60 miles from home and its cold.. Had to swap out the wiper motor in the cold, sure enough that didnt fix the problem. So we tied string to both wipers in thru the window! Made it work on the trip home. :hellyeah:
 
I got my dsm a week after I sold my 98 mirage. Upgrade or what LOL..Anyways the same night I got it I was on the freeway racing my buddy's yaris, LOL(I hit 135:thumb:), and after I beat him I took my eyes off the road because my other buddy was messing with the car radio and I looked down at the radio for a second and I began going into the other lane. Well there was a truck pulling a trailer in that lane and I sort of hit it and it completely scratched my left rear fender with the trailers tires. And I also accedently shifted into second gear instead of 4th at 90 mph. Haha that didn't feel very nice :/. Then I spun a bearing 3 weeks later:cry:. Car had 210k miles.
