Whats hard to find or rare on a 1G

Got all of it replaced about 2 years ago at the dealer (had no mechanical experience at the time)

gettin close to the next change time though, gonna be doing it myself this time.
Hopefully if I have another car by then, so I can pull the motor and do a proper(or just easier) balance shaft eliminator

I had a 1.8 Laser and it had the hump, but I have seen a Laser without it once.

The nu hump hood may have been a aftermarket hood. I have never seen a 1g with out the hood hump. I have seen a lot of 1g's also.

The one I saw personally was on a teal 1g that used to always be parked in front of a Korean nail salon around the corner from my shop. It looked as stock and unmodified as could be.

In the talk thread I linked to, guys were spotting them in junkyards all over the place, so I would say they are rare. Probably almost all crushed.

But the only rare parts I have come across are. Tan rear deck lid still have in my atic. And a horn button with a factory "turbo" badge on it, wich is also still in my attic. And I do not own any 1gs to put them on any more.

Im selling my fully 100% stock one. i put the original wheels back on. took the gauges out, put the intake back on and the original stereo back on. 98k miles goes for 4300 bucks next saturday.

I think the OP may be referring to rare versus discontinued or hard to find now.

I would say mudflaps are one of the most rare items you will find.

had a 91 laser rs auto turbo. Had a hump. Only the DL talons and think the RS eclipse didnt have the hump and had 1.8L I know the talon did but not sure about the eclipse since they were the PREMIUM cars.

1Ga 1.8s had no hump. By 92 or 93 they got tired of paying for making 2 different hoods, and 1.8s got the hood with the bump.
