What's going on with my seats?

These are the seats in my 98 Eagle Talon TSi AWD. They look like the right seats as for the style and such but they don't bolt in correctly. I wouldn't guess someone would put the right seats on wrong brackets but I don't really know for sure. The driver seat doesn't move (electric) which sucks and they are only bolted in on one side. I purchased the car like this.

Finding good 2G seats has been like looking for a needle in a haystack. Which was what I've been looking for for over a month now.

What can I do to either make these seats work or what seats/brackets will fit properly? Just to broaden the search criteria a bit in hopes of possibly finding a good set of seats.

What are the seats I have currently out of? I've thought about trying to make them work but I've got all the other headaches I'm dealing with from the previous owner(s) right now as well. And I'll say that everything done to this car was done like crap. Luckily the PO(s) didn't do much to it because everything they touched they screwed up and/or never finished.

Those are not the right seats. Possibly from an avenger or sebring.

Look in a junkyard. I found my replacement driver seat for my 2g for $25 and its in perfect condition.

I was leaning towards them not being the correct seats based on a few pictures I could pull up of these cars. I was just unsure if there were any exceptions. Glad I know now for sure that they don't belong.

I've tore the salvage yards apart digging around here and put ads on CL too. To no avail unfortunately. Yet anyhow.

I'll just keep my eye out for the right seats. Now that I know these are both the wrong brackets and wrong seats all together. Thanks guys!

Get brackets from Miller Import parts and bolt in old Evo seats or something

Those seats appear to be from a 3g eclipse. If you want them to fit and not have to weld new brackets, make your own home depot brackets. Two long strips of steel, drill holes for the seats and holes for the floor and bolt up accordingly.
Also, 3g rear seats fit directly into a 2g with no modification, and 3g eclipses with black leather/vinyl are very common at junkyards.

I checked with miller and they don't have any brackets in stock. That appears to be the way it's been as for trying to find the correct brackets.

Thanks for the information Plan Zero, I may end up having to do something like that if my search for the right parts turns up nothing.

3g Eclipse seats makes sense as someone also put a 3g Eclipse factory stereo in that doesn't work and put the display part of it in the glove box which also doesn't work. The driver seat is wired in being as it's electric and it doesn't work either. The position it's in makes you feel like your driving from the back seat and the seats are so tall that me being 5'8" I look at the sun visor when I drive. I have to bend down to look out the windshield.
