I need to know what wire i can use that will be safe inside the tank, im using 8 gauge directly wired, as you can see i couldn't do just a basic rewire.

Really any quality wire is good, the insulation is what's going to be the factor and you'll need to look into electronics stores or similar places ot see what kinda ratings there are for solvent safe and such so they don't deteriorate, but hell, none of the wire i've used (standard radioshack stuff) has ever "rotted" just look at the stock connector on the kit for installing a 255, plain old wire.. you just want good connections that don't short out or spark..that's what causes problems..

what turbo said. Just making sure the connections are amazing is the major part.

Well i came up with a new idea via some chit chat with another member, im goin to use the oem wires inside and do 8ga on the outside. and use nylon washers with a bolt and nuts well like the picture LOL
