I still like 20/20 from Eagle1.

That stuff removes smoke residue, plastic residue etc.

Most of the products work pretty ok, just make sure they are tint safe, and apply plenty of "elbow grease" and product with clean paper towels. Best if there is too much product so the paper towels get damp.

I always use Just a wet shammi(synthtic like the absorber) I always wash in the shade, dry the car with the shammi. No streaks no water spots almost looks like I waxed it. I then apply a coat of meguires car wax to the windshield let dry, then wipe clean witha cotton t shirt. I do that once every 3 or 4 months. Glass is crystal Always. On he inside just plain old windex and a paper towel. No prob if you take you time and do it in the shade. I only polish once every six months( clay bar, high speed buffer and meguires 3 step wax process) That is all.

BTW the newspaper thing works best when dry. Wipe it on a dirty mirror once and see for yourself(firehouse trick)

When i used 2 help detail cars at the car dealership i worked at we would use newspaper and some windsheild washer fluid in a huge drum.
