My passenger window hasnt been working at all. its currently half way down so when it rains, i have to cover it. I just planned on taking the door apart and putting a new switch in. Well this morning, i finally had time to look at it. I changed the switch but still nothing. I was wondering how you pull the power window motor out? I unbolted the three screws but cant get it out. How do you take the wires off? I cant get my hands in there to feel around. Ive searche on here but couldnt find the answers. I hate when people dont post how they fixed the problem. They just dont post in their thread ever again. But ya, the sitch wasnt the problem so i want to take the motor out and swap another in.

Solution
Ok i fixed it. Now i will tell you how. Pull an all nighter and stay awake for well over 24 hours. Then at 7AM, go outside and pull the pannel off the door. Take the switch out, swap it with one from another DSM on your property. Try it. Once you see it still doesnt work, take the 3 screws out holding the motor in place. Try to get it out by wiggling it and feeling around it to see why it wont come out and how to get the wires off. Once you finally admit you have no idea how to get it out, run inside and post a thread like this after searching for 30 mins on the forums. Ask questions similer to mine. Then on your way to your girls Doctors apt, and finish your cig, roll up your drivers window. Next, just for shits and giggles, try...
Mine doesn't work either, but the switch is ok.

Did you put power directly to the motor first to check it? That's how I got mine up. Took a battery and touched the two wires coming off the motor to it, it went down, so just switch the wires and it'll go up.

It will at least keep water out until you can fix it. I'm stil trying to find that little box for the passenger side for a fix.

Seriously, i have no clue wtf i did but it works now.

Solution
I ran out as soon as it was posted. Still didnt work. So idk what i did. Maybe there was a bad connection somewhere and wiggling it trying to pull it out helped.

Sometimes, the big center guide track needs to be lubed if you got a sticky, squeaky or sluggish window going up or down- shoot some Tri-Flo or similar slick spray stuff in that center track after you take the door panel off.

And see if the fabric in both end rails are good as well for they'll wear out in time and cause sluggish window operation.

Ive done this is the past. One of the first things i do when I first buy my DSM's LOL. But its not that. THe motor didnt kick on, there wasnt any movement at all or any noise.

i have the same problem as you. kinda. but i think it just the switch. but i haven't tried to fix it,yet. it not that important atm. but ill be following this so i can try and fix mine...

Ok then i will try to figure out what the problem was. I was hopeing too that it was just the switch. Thats a 2 minute job WHILE smoking a cigerette. But when i changed it, it still didnt work. But, maybe it was because i didnt start the car to check. Just reached over and turned the key on. And since it was jammed from me wiggling the window, pushing it up and down, it probably got off track so with just the key on and not turning the car on, maybe it wouldnt have gotten enough juice to the switch. Like if you roll ## window up with just the key on, it takes awhile longer to roll it up as it would if the car was running. It just doesnt get as much power or strength. And when i discovered that it actually did work, i was driving down the road. So, hopefully for you its just the switch because it is a very easy job.

Ok i kinda not really have the same issue.
My mototr works but the window doesn't go up, i have to help it.
As far as your issue badabing, have you checked voltage at the motor when you are pressing the button up or down?
That should be your first thing, you don't have a volt meter? Radio shack has cheap ones.
See if you have voltage when hitting the button.
If you do then you have a bad motor, if you DON'T the you have a wiring issue.
Let me know how it turns out dude.

No.
It's the switch, because when I touch a battery straight to it, it works rain snow or shine.

So it's like... the heat... expands the switch... so it makes a connection. I guess.
I don't know, but its just weird. I keep finding cars being parted out, and ask for that little box the switch is in, but everyone seems to want to see the entire door assembly, and I don't feel like spending 50 bucks for that little switch and trashing a entire door.

Are you trying to put it up from the drivers side switch or the passenger side switch? For the longest time mine would only go up using the passenger side switch. I recently got tired of it not working right and took my drivers side switch apart. The contacts were all corroded so i cleaned them up with some sand paper and now it works. If that doesn't help you any I'd say take the window motor and regulator out and test the motor and clean/lube the tracks. I've found that silicon spray works the best. It's really not that hard to do. Once you take the glass out everything is pretty easy to unbolt and get too. Just be patient with it and don't get in a rush and break the glass
